__: We have started our work with exponents in Chapter 8. In section 1 we will work with properties of exponents to multiply exponential expressions. In section 2 we will evaluate powers that have zero and negative exponents. In section 3 we__

**8th Grade**will use the division properties of exponents to evaluate powers and simplify. A TEST will follow upon completion of these three

sections. This will be the LAST TEST of the Trimester.

__We have started Chapter 6 working with ratios and rates. In section 1 we defined and found ratios and unit rates.__

**7th Grade:**In sections 2 and 3 we are solving for proportions using the cross product rule. In these proportions there are whole numbers, fractions, and variable expressions where the distributive property needs to be used. A TEST is scheduled on these 3 sections

for Thursday, May 12, 2016. From here we will move on to Chapter 7 which involves computation with percents.

**6th Grade:**

****We have written and evaluated functions using a given domain and function rule in section 7-7. Now in section 7-8

we are graphing our domain and range points after evaluating the function and determining if the graph is linear or nonlinear.

We are also using the vertical line test to determine if a graph of a domain and range is a function or not a function.

A TEST is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2016 on sections 7-7 and 7-8. From here we will move on to Chapter 8 where we

will be working with ratios, unit rates, and proportions.

__We have found the least common multiples (Section 9-7) and are finishing up comparing fractions (Sections 9-9),__

**5th Grade:**by converting each fraction into a common denominator. A QUIZ on section 9-7 and 9-9 is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2016.

From here we will move on to Chapter 10 adding and subtracting fractions of like and unlike denominators.

*We have finished section 13-5 of comparing fractions with like and unlike denominators as well as placing them*

__4th Grade__:in order. We have started section 13-6 of converting a mixed number into an improper fraction and an improper fraction to a

mixed number. We will then find a mixed number using a number line as well as from diagrams. A QUIZ is scheduled for Friday,

May 13, 2016 on these two sections. From here we will move on to Chapter 14 where will we working with decimals.
